Het thema van dit jaar's Cosplay Gala is “verjaardagsfeest” in verband met de 10 jarige verjaardag van BAGGER.

Wat?
Het cosplay gala is een gekostumeerd bal, maar dan met cosplay. Het is dus de bedoeling dat de deelnemers in cosplay en galakledij komen. Er zal gedanst worden op verschillende soorten Japanse, klassieke, pop en ballroom muziek. Bezoekers jonger dan 18 jaar krijgen een andere kleur polsbandje in verband met de verkoop van alcoholische dranken op het gala.

Activiteiten die georganiseerd zullen worden naast dansen:
Stoelendans, Speeddating, Stijldansles, Kostuumwedstrijd, Verkiezing Koning en Koningin van het bal, Gekke dansjes wedstrijd.

Beste allemaal,

Het was jullie misschien al opgevallen dat Nishicon dit jaar gehouden wordt op 8 oktober. Dat was in eerste instantie de datum waarop wij ons jaarlijkse Cosplay Gala zouden houden. Daarom hebben we besloten om het Cosplay Gala dit jaar te verhuizen naar de eerste week van november. De datum van het Cosplay Gala 2016 is dus nu: zaterdag 5 november, dus pas het aan in je agenda! Sorry voor de verwarring die dit misschien opgeleverd heeft, verder veranderd er niets, het is gewoon weer gezellig in de de dansschool in Meppel dit jaar!

It's a pity for the new dates, I'll be in the most important comic convention in Italy so I won't be able to take part at your event.

De kaartverkoop is open!

In de voorverkoop zijn tickets 7,50 en aan de deur 10 euro. MAAAAAR... Voor BAGGER leden is de entree dit jaar gratis!
Om je gratis ticket te krijgen moet je een kortingcode invullen die te vinden is op het leden forum.

LET OP! Alleen BAGGER leden die hun contributie dit jaar ook daadwerkelijk hebben betaald hebben toegang tot het ledenforum!
Kun je er niet in maar zou je zweren dat je wel je contributie betaald hebt? Neem dan contact op met penningmeester Poerak!

Ik ga kijken of ik er bij kan zijn, lijkt me leuk  maar het is de dag na mijn verjaardag dus ik weet niet hoe moe ik dan ga zijn :S.

Sorry if I ask this here.
As I said in last post, I'm not sure to be in The Netherlands for this event, but since still I have to decide about the return date (I'm with the car so it could be the 3 or 4 Nov), I could have a chance to be already at home for the 5 Nov.

In this case I could take part at your event, but I have a question about it.

Since I use google translate for the dutch, I'm not pretty sure about the dress code.
When you talk about "Children stuff" you mean the old animes( I'm 39 and in my native country the anime arrived around 38 years ago, so my concept of old animes when I was a baby is quite different from that dutch, for example I watched the Pokemon when I was 20, so not a really childhood anime).
Or with children stuff you mean also things modern but inspired to the fairy tales?

For example, at the moment I'm sewing two dresses from Uta no Prince, but they are inspired to prince and princess dress, how those in the fairy tales that I read when I was a baby, so I'm wondering if this kind of dresses are OK, or is required only costume from real old animes.

This would be a bit troublesome for me and my husband cos except Versailles no Bara, Candy Candy or Lady Georgie, I don't think that Hokuto no Ken, 70'/80' robotic/Ninja animes would be so suitable for a ball.^^;;;

So please could you give me more info about the ball theme and how I have to intend it.

This is what the website says on the dresscode:

In verband met het tienjarige jubleum van van Boeren Anime Gilde Groningen En Regio is het thema van het gala is dit jaar "Kinderfeestje"!

Dus trek je mooiste partyoutfit aan, of doe een cosplay van een jong personage of een personage dat onder kinderen ook populair is zoals bijvoorbeeld Pokémon, superhelden of minions!

Het thema is erg vrij, dus laat je fantasie maar op de loop gaan!

Heb je geen kostuum dat met kinderfeestjes te maken heeft? Dat is helemaal niet erg, maar degene die het beste bij het thema past maakt wel kans om tot koning of koningin van het bal gekroond te worden! Het is wel de bedoeling dat je in cosplay, galakledij of een combinatie van de twee komt.

What this means is that: every cosplay or gala clothing is allowed. You are not obligated to stick to the theme, so you can wear anything you like!

If you want to have a shot at becoming king or queen of the prom, you do have to adhere to the theme. They are suggesting the following type of costumes:

- You can cosplay a young character
- You can cosplay someone from an anime or game that is popular with children

If you want to try to become king and queen of the ball with a costume that is not obviously Pokemon or something, maybe you can tell the judges that you want to participate and why, for you, your costume is a reminder of your childhood! And maybe you can still join the kings/queens-competition that way!

But remember, simply for entrance to the Cosplay Gala, all costumes are welcome.
